We are glad to invite you to the Model United Nations of the Faculty of International Relations! The Model will take place on 14 – 17April 2021. Applications will be accepted till 20 April 2021. 

SECURITY COUNCIL

Agenda:

  1. Territorial claims of Turkey, Greece and Cyprus around the Eastern Mediterranean. The role of the EU in ensuring of refugees’ access to the territory and asylum procedures of the EU Member States in the context of irregular migration and existing territorial disputes.
  2. Displacement as the factor triggering children’s involvement into armed conflict: challenges, solutions and cooperation of the UN Member States to prevent forced recruitment of children.

UNHCR

Agenda:

  1. Assistance to refugees in time of COVID-19 pandemic: effective access to assistance provided in the countries of asylum with the emphasis on refugees’ involvement in national vaccination programs and overall healthcare treatment and services on a par with citizens of the host countries.
  2. Ensuring unhindered access of asylum-seekers to the territories of countries and refugee status determination procedures in the context of COVID-19 caused restrictions.
