Born on January 26, 1938 in Khodorovtsy village (Lida district, Grodno region).
In 1960 graduated from Minsk Pedagogical Institute.
Doctor of Science (HIstory) (1988), Professor (1989).
Since September 1992 - the Head of the Department of International Relations, in 1995-2008 - Dean of the Faculty of International Relations at Belarusian State University. The sphere of scientific interests includes global trends in world politics, current issues of Belarus - Russia integration, domestic and foreign policy of Germany. Authored more than 100 scientific papers, including 3 monographs, several manuals, approved by the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus. Some of his scientific works were translated in German and were published in Germany and Austria. Many times worked abroad as a Visiting Professor in Universities. A member of the Scientific Council of BSU, "BSU BUlletin" editorial board and "Journal of International Law and International Relations" editorial board.
A member of the Commission on the Award of Picheta's Prize of BSU, a member of Belarusian Public Association of BSU Veterans' Board of Directors.
On October 31, 1996 was awarded Francysk Skaryna Medal for significant achievements in science and education. Has honorary distinction "Honorary Figure of Belarusian Higher Education" (1990), several honorary certificates of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus, and other distinctions.
