The Department of Customs Affairs was established on August 28, 2000 at the Faculty of International Relations.Anatoly Sirotsky, PhD (Historical Sciences), Associate Professor, is the first Head of the Department.Currently the Department is headed by Victor Ostroga, PhD (Historical Sciences) Associate Professor.Highly qualified staff work at the Department: V. Ostroga (Head of the Department of Customs Affairs),  Associate Professors G. Vlasova, А. Chepik, L. Tararyshkina. Senior Lecturers P. Boltochko, N. Kapustina, A. Hadakova, A.Grebennikau. Practitioners are invited to train students on a regular basis.Many lecturers have experience of service in the customs administrations of the Republic of Belarus.The staff members of the Department were the first in Belarus to publish a coursebook "Fundamentals of Customs Affairs" (2003), they also published training and educational manuals for various courses, monographs and collections of scientific works, numerous articles and other research materials.Within the framework of profession- oriented training, the Department has branches in ООО "Vneshevroservis" and ОDO "Belviat", conducts regular classes on the basis of the State Institute for advanced training and retraining of officials of customs authorities of the Republic of Belarus, “Minsk-2” and Minsk Regional Customs.For applicants, the Schools of the future customs officer and the future international logistics manager open their doors every year.
